1 Star Not what i was looking for
The book is not so much what i had expected. i agree with many of the comments made.the styles are teenager-ish rather than elegant, I am looking for instructions to do every day hair and elegant updos for special occasions. This book was not helpful.

5 Stars A Must-Have Updo Reference Book
Love this book! Davis Biton has a unique talent for creating updos that are not fussy looking and would be equally stunning on both younger and older women. The creativity of Biton’s styles is incredible! I have several hairstyling reference books and most of Biton’s styles and techniques I have not seen before. Yes, some of the styles have teased ends or resemble mohawks but I truly could see myself or others wearing these funky styles for a night out or a fun weekend. There is a also a selection of more traditional Victorian-like low-buns, French Twist-like styles and some beautiful curly hair styles if you prefer to wear your hair down (complete with instructions on how to curl your hair if you aren’t blessed with natural curls). The styles are demonstrated on women of all races which is a nice touch as well. I am so inspired by this book. Definitely put this on your wish list.

5 Stars Book on hair styles is a treasure
HAIR: A BOOK OF BRAIDING AND STYLES is a wonderful guide ot things to do with long hair besides a single brain down the back. Creating these syles on my own hair will take some practice, but the instructions are very good.

Has nice picturs and ideas for putting up hair that I was unaware of. I bought it more for my daughter who is getting married.

This book did not inspire. It contains very dated looks that would be appropriate for a child.

I bought this book a looong time ago. Back when I was in elementary/starting middle school, I’m a college freshman now. While I don’t recommend this book for someone who is already familiar with hairstyles, it’s a really good book for those who are younger and just want to learn different styles, it’s great. Some of the looks are a little dated but would look great on little girls who want to play with their hair and some of the looks are simple and elegant. All in all, it’s a good book for the younger ones who want to experiment with simple, easy hairstyles.

Bought this and ended up giving a class in my salon. The DVD is so easy to teach from–just pause it, frame by frame. Annnnd Soto’s styles are a great “base” for all kinds of styles! My thanks Ron Soto for great work!!

I love this video. I bought hair pieces and wefts and i was able to do the styles. Im so glad i got this video. NOW i can do styles on my clients when i have to do a big bridal party and i dont have to rush. Each style is about no more than 10mins to do. It’s fast and quick. I even amaze myself. When will there be another video i would like to buy some more videos from Ron Soto. I would recommend it to other hair dressors if they need some ideas on styles
